Chapter Four

Six hours on a plane had scarred Percy. Charmaine had disappeared and they didn't seem to care. They walked to the address of the five-star resort hotel that Chiron had booked for them online.
"Nice." Percy said walking in. "It's kinda like the Lotus Hotel Casino we stayed in before. Minus 40%." Annabeth smiled at him. There were three beds, two bathrooms and a kitchen with a microwave and a regular sized fridge. "I just thought of something. If there's no one here to pretend to be our parents, how are we gonna enroll in the school?"
"Oh, no prob. Chiron enrolled us online as our father. Which is really weird for a school that isn't online. They must have a horrible principle. By the way, our last name is Jensen. I picked it out." Annabeth replied.
"Oh, okay. That sounds suspiciously like Jackson."
"Shut up Seaweed Brain." She threw a pillow at him.
"Alright." He put his hands up like he was surrendering. "I'm shutting up." They all  unpacked their belongings and placed them in the drawers. They had brought about $200 just in case, even though they had room service for food.

Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo walked in the school'a front door. They were late and everyone else was in class. Adam was making short jokes about Chase and punching him in the stomach. The jokes were a little harsher and Adam punched harder than usual . The fourth time Chase had enough and caught Adam's hand while it was in midair. Commando mode engaged.
A group of three other kids watched as Chase picked up Adam by the collar of his shirt and threw him against a locker.
"Do you understand the no punching me rule?!"
"Yes, Spike!" Adam gulped.
"Good." Chase (Spike) dropped Adam to the floor. Commando app disengaged. "Commando mode disengaged?! Guys! Why was I in commando mo-hi!" He said noticing the three strangers walking in the school. Two boys and a girl. One of the guys was in crutches and had curly brown hair with brown eyes. The other guy had sea green eyes and black hair. The girl had blond curled hair and tanned skin like a California girl (and they were in California) but her eyes ruined the image. They were stormy grey.
"Hi." The blonde said. "We're, uh, new and looking for the office."
"I'm Chase." He smiled at her and she returned it. He had brown hair and warm brown eyes, the best kind.
"Why did he call you Spike then?" She motioned towards Adam.
"Oh this is Adam. He just, calls me that sometimes." He quickly came up with an excuse. Adam was half a head taller than Chase. He had the same color eyes and hair just darker.
"Yep, I call him that sometimes." Adam agreed.
"And I'm Bree." The girl spoke up. She had brown eyes and brown curled hair, but not like Annabeth's curls.
"I'm Percy and this is Grover." Percy said motioning toward Grover. Grover leaned on his crutches and waved.
"The office is right over there." Bree pointed down the hall.
"Thanks." Annabeth said tugging the two boys to the office. Once they were out of hearing range Annabeth whispered to Percy and Grover. "Did you see that? Chase picked up Adam and Chase is only half his size! And what in the world is commando mode?"
"I have no idea." Was Percy's reply and Grover agreed. They walked into the office. It was messy with papers everywhere. A short woman in a pantsuit leaned back in her chair with her feet on the desk. She had red hair and the three Halfbloods could tell this was going to be one long month.
"Well, hello. You must be the new twerps. Percy, Grover, and Annie." The principal said in a rough voice.
"Actually it's Annabeth." Annabeth politely interrupted.
"Zip it Annie." The principal went back to talking. "I'm Principal Perry. If you have any complaints, deal with it. This isn't daycare." She gave them their schedules and shooed them out.
"Wow," Percy said, "she's worse than Mr. D."
"I know, right?" Annabeth and Grover both said.
"So, what's on your schedule first?" Percy asked.
"Literature." Annabeth answered.
"Me too." Grover related. "What's yours?" Percy squinted at the paper, he was dyslexic and that hadn't changed in four years.
"Math." Percy sighed. He didn't have great experiences with math teachers.
"Oh. Good luck." Grover and Annabeth went up the stairs together after they gathered their books. Percy went down the hall to his own class.
