Chapter One

"Come on! Were gonna be late for school!" Leo shouted. He could here the constant bzzzzzz noise. Bree was blow drying her hair in the bathroom.
"Alright! I'm hurrying." Bree replied, sounding annoyed. Leo had expected the girl with the super speed would take less time.
"Just use your super speed! Do I have to give you the obvious!" Leo suggested.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that." She laughed lightly from behind the door. In  sixteen seconds she was out of the door. Her light brown hair was perfectly curled and draped around her shoulders. "Ta dah!" She spread her arms out and bowed. Leo gave her a weird look. "Oh just go." Bree motioned toward the door that led outside of the billion dollar house.

"Percy!" Annabeth had been looking for him for what seemed like forever. She had never thought to look in the most obvious place. He was sitting by the lake, thinking about his mother. This summer he had went year-round at Camp Halfblood. She knew that he worrying. She quietly jogged over, approaching him. She layed a hand gently on his shoulder. "Hey, it'll be okay." Annabeth ensured.
"Thanks." He smiled. "But I'm still going to worry." They had just recently battled Kronos and Percy had been in a daze for almost a week.
"Hey, I have something that'll take your mind off it. That's why I'm here." Percy stood up from his position of sitting on the dock with his legs in the water. He stood up, his legs were perfectly dry. Classic Percy, Annabeth thought, using his major powers in minor ways.
"Okay, give it a shot." Percy said. They walked across the lake's shore, hand in hand, as Annabeth explained.
"Chiron says strange activity was on the news. A witness that watched the entire gym at his school fall apart, said that one of the school's students gathered electricity in his hands and created a blast wave of power that made the whole gym rumble like there was an earthquake. Everyone thinks he's crazy and it was just an earthquake but Demigods know better. Chiron is sending you, Grover, and me to that school. It's called Mission Creek High." She paused.
"And?" Percy waited impatiently.
"It's in California." She finished.
"That's across the country! We'd have to fly!"
"I know Percy, but that's the only way to get to the Halfblood in time. That blast wave electricity thing sounded a lot like lightning and that leads to Zeus. And you know what that means. There's only a matter of time before the monsters get to him. The witness said he didn't see a face. Just a tall guy, so we're going to have to go undercover as new students and check out the place. Grover's coming to because we need him to sniff out any Demigods."
"Annabeth, I can't fly. This time there'll be no lighting bolt stopping Zeus from zapping me out of the sky."
"I know but, Zeus will know that we're trying to save his son from monsters and he'll probably give us a chance."
"But-" Percy objected.
"Please Percy, I'll be with you the whole way. Please, for me?" She begged.
"Fine, I'll do it." He reluctantly agreed.
"Thanks Seaweed Brain." She planted a kiss on his cheek and jogged back to her cabin. Percy sighed and stared in the direction she had went, loosing himself in a daydream. He heard the conch shell blow its continuos tune. It snapped him out of the daydream and he left the lake for lunch.
